the concept for my client’s house is based on nature, more importantly – a tree. In addition, it has a function – its branches are ‘holding’ the floors. The space is designed around the tree – it starts under the ground where the roots are, then it goes four floors up till it reaches the roof. A glass room turned into a rooftop garden is placed on the top of the building. Instead of walls, there are branches dividing the space into separate rooms. However, even though the tree is not real, when entering the space, one would get the same feeling as in the contextual installation in Canada – the nature and its relaxing effect. This project is a perfect example of a landscape that becomes
an interior. The tree has a function – the house is a tree.
